In very short, here's what happened:

Sent a cold email.

Linked back to an old Youtube Channel of mine showcasing my editing skills.

Agreed on a commission-based deal.

Worked a bit.

Stopped.

Kept in touch.

Now we both evolved and need each other resources to express our skills.

He's got the audience, I have the operations.

Worked together again.

You need to SHOW a reason why they should partner up with you.

Not just tell them you've achieved XYZ.

Telling is easy. It doesn't cost you anything.

Showing real proof is harder. People pay attention to what is hard to achieve.

In this case, I had a youtube channel with around 15 beautifully edited videos on it.

It is a body of work that's impossible to ignore.

It is a real proof.

If your prospects does have what you have, they don't need you.

If you just help them do a bit more, the cost of changing teams or trusting a stranger is way too high for a potential +20% increase.

In this case I've got the skills to create Content Operations.

Systems that allow a creator to get his time back, focus on his creativity, and make them work for him while preserving a max of profit margin.
