- Playing to avoid losing
Playing to avoid losing
Play to win
Not to avoid losing.
Both take effort.
Maybe a little less when you play to not lose.
But that’s the trap.
Not losing feels good.
Losing feels bad.
So your brain avoids the pain.
That’s why you hesitate before a fight.
You’re already picturing the loss.
But let me ask you —
If I told you you had a 100% chance of winning…
Would you still be afraid?
Same with business.
You’re scared to go all in because you imagine failure.
But here’s the shift:
You must believe you have a 100% chance of winning.
Even if you’ve lost before.
The past? Doesn’t exist.
Your losses? Don’t exist.
Yeah. This isn’t how “reasonable” people think.
Yeah. You should make money, make your parents proud, follow the rules.
But if you think you’re about to lose,
You won’t even try.
You’ll do the bare minimum to comfort yourself.
“At least I tried“
See it this way:
You’ve never actually lost.
You just took a few hits.
But if you’re still breathing, still standing — The fight isn’t over.
We all have our own fight.
The ones you admire or envy are missing things you take for granted —
A good family.
Solid health.
Friends that actually care.
You’re not behind. You’re in the ring.
So fight like you have 100% of winning.
See you in the trenches,
