Why I Almost Quit My Six-Figure Business

Remember the office of Neo and the Matrix before he takes the red pill?

That was my office. Big corporate tower. I was working a wage job and was $12,000 in debt.

Because I knew I couldn't rely on a job, I started offering my skills to creators and online businesses.

I focused on ONE thing: outreach. 50-100 leads per day.

Then came the day that changed everything.

"Hey, you don't need to come today. We're done. Have a nice week." — My boss

Just like that, I was fired.

Two hours later I get a Stripe notification: "You received a payment of €1,000." A few hours after: "You received a payment of $750."

Over $1,800 in a single day.

What impressed me wasn't the amount, but HOW I got these clients.

No calls. No appointments.

I grew this business to six figures a DIFFERENT way.

Eventually, I did what everyone says you're "supposed" to do. I started booking sales calls.

I had a nice office in Bangkok. Beautiful tower. I felt successful.

But something was deeply wrong.

I was trapped in front of my screen at times dictated by strangers.

My calendar was no longer mine.

For some reason, I couldn't do deep work an hour before or after each call.

I had escaped one tower only to trap myself in another.

Why? Because doing calls is normal, right?

But here's what nobody tells you:

The math simply doesn't work.

For every $50K in revenue with a $5K offer, you need 10 clients monthly.

With a 20% close rate, that's 50 sales calls per month.

That's 50 hours of your life – with 40 hours completely wasted.

They say it's part of the game.

But I don't like that game.

Stars do not audition.

I went back to my old ways and focused on closing without calls.

My margins shot back to 90%+.

Here's what happened when I made the switch:

• Peace of mind

• An empty calendar

• Time for high leverage creative activities

• No time managing setters & closers

• Recurring revenue

I believe in time and energy efficiency. These are our most valuable resources.

As an ENTJ, I think: "I don't care if you call me an insensitive bastard as long as I remain an efficient bastard." (as per 16personalities.com)

Don't leave a matrix to end up in another.

Play your game.

See you in the trenches,
